Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort Today in Murrells Inlet

McCleanville after Hurricane Hugo Circa 1989

When a storm hits the coast or anywhere else for that matter the end result is devastation.  As residents in the Mid-Atlantic prepared for Hurricane Sandy last week there was no way to know how much devastation she would bring and the final toll one week later is yet to be determined.

Anyone that has ever been affected by such storms as we have in our area with Hugo can relate to the pain and frustration our friends to the north are now feeling and know they are left with more questions than answers.  Wanting to get things back to normal will take weeks for some months for others and even longer for some.

As the residents in hard hit areas begin the process of rebuilding local efforts in Murrells Inlet are underway to help.  Coastal Carolina Shields has initiated a relief supplies collection today at the Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet to be delivered to New York storm victims.

Some have lost everything while others just need a little help with supplies.  If you can help in this effort please stop by the Beaver Bar at 3534 Hwy 17 Business in Murrells Inlet today and drop off what you can to aid the storm victims.  Copyright©2012 Sandra Bundy, Broker-in-Charge, B&P, Inc.  Serving the Pee Dee and Grand Strand of South Carolina.
